I want to focus on THE GAZE.
Touching on Foucault's theory of Ponoptisim.
In the contexts of new media (Facebook & twitter.)
Using viral adverts as a root to all the theory.
Inspired by the 'Black Mirror'. (only the first episode has been released its a 3 part series)
The first episode
The Princess will be set free if the Prime Minister has Sexual intercourse with a pig, on live televison at 4pm the following day.
"These are all what if scenarios".
"I'm not pessimistic about technology, nor am I hopelessly optimistic. I'd much rather live in this time now than in medieval time in a smock eating a turnip, while sitting on a tuffit, or whatever they used to do, in the muddy tin days,
but erm, on the other hand it's slightly alarming not knowing where things are going."
Charlie Brooker.
Fingers crossed.
"How new technology is evolving the strategies of Advertising and our dependence upon it."

Looking at the viral adds on youtube and how companies have progressed into the 21st century.
Maybe look into to London Riots as they were orcastrated by twitter and using facebook groups.
Focus on one brand?
Nike.
Or the general progression on advertising in new media?
Old spice vs homemade adverts?
Things I need to look into more:
.Research into chosen brands of the viral adds. (NIKE)
. gather information directly from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube. of idividuals comments about viral adds, or comments on videos / images.
. look into socioty and the standard way british people live, understanding the average lifestyle and how much media is a part of that.
. Use theory to back up opinions and seperate individual views.
I don't know what this has to do with my essay. But this is apauling and makes me feel sick to even be associated with this woman's opinion.
